The Coffee farmer Ahmed bringing the harvested coffee home

Mocha Coffee, was established by two entrepreneurs originally from Yemen who fled to the Netherlands 5 years ago because of the ongoing war in Yemen. Why the name Mocha Coffee? The name "Mocha" comes from the port of Mocha (al-Makha) through which most Yemeni coffee was exported before the 20th century. The port city of Mocha, in Yemen, was once a vast coffee marketplace and it has been associated with coffee since its founding in the 1300s, but the modern history with european coffee trade came in 1700s in the time of coffee becoming popular culture. The ties between Mocha and the Netherlands are even stronger because the Dutch were the first Europeans to export coffee from this port to Europe and then to the rest of the world.

We are based in Amsterdam, the first European harbor to receive Yemeni coffee back in the days, which is considered today one of the biggest and best trade zones in Europe. Since the idea's inception in 2020 we made sure to investigate all of the problems that the Yemeni coffee face as a trade because we believe that the Yemeni coffee is one of the best coffee world wide with a history linked even to the origin of coffee.

We aim to be one of the most advanced establishments, sourcing the world’s finest specialty coffee as well as investing in the quality of activities by cooperating with local farmers and global experts and professionals. About Yemeni Coffee

Despite the fact that we have come a long way in this current scientific world, a manual coffee taste is always desired. In keeping with this story, we have always believed in meeting the needs of our clients, and as a result, we ensure that together with the farmers we work with that we do excellent jobs and that our morale remains strong. And they undoubtedly contribute to the long-term viability of our goods and the overall Yemeni reputation. They are always regarded as and treasured as our most valuable partners. Our dear friends' farmers' approach exemplifies how time-consuming the procedure is. They begin by drying the seeds to remove moisture and totally dry them before planting. A number of pesticides are sprayed to ensure that the Quality is unaffected by any little organism and that the delegate planted seeds are not harmed. Furthermore, not only does the artificial fertilizer assist them in keeping the coffee beans alive, but their natural fertilizers also aid in the production, quality, and sums up the flavor we provide. " You must look after the coffee as if it was your child," says a popular proverb among Yemeni farmers. You may observe the truth and correctness of this proverb if you go to the fields. You could easily see how critical it is to develop the greatest coffee variety for our dear friends farmers in order to assist us to get a fair bargain. On the other hand, where they contribute their talents, and knowledge, we ensure that they are protected, healthy, and safe with their families by receiving fair value for their efforts. We work together to plant coffee, enhance the farm's living and working conditions, and preserve our culture, craft and traditional values. Our primary goal is to preserve the craft and its integrity.

Our farmers put their hearts and souls into their business, and they are appropriately compensated for it. We respect our dear farmers as though they were members of our family because some of them are truly our childhood friends in Yemen. We may now grow as well, thanks to our collective efforts. We help our dear friends farmers by providing them with information on how to make informed decisions and grow coffee in a sustainable manner. We concentrate on their long-term profitability and the upgrades, processes, and training they require. We would be worse off without their unconditional support, love, and constant efforts to deliver us the finest, since they are the ones that drive this journey of getting those wonderful coffee beans to your tables.
